For real...is there?
Sometimes I'm wondering if it says:
Directory Assistance
My office is on a large corner lot and people often stop in for directions or phone numbers. There have been quite a few new businesses opening up recently. I really don't mind helping folks out, but why do they get pissed with ME because I don't know what they're looking for? Gawd, I mean really though! Sometimes they won't even know the name of the place. They'll just come in asking if I know where the place that sells such- and-such is, then when I tell them I'm sorry no, I will hear a repeat of the same question. Next thing you know I'm looking up information in the business park guide in an attempt to help. I try and be nice but sometimes I feel frustrated.
Complaint Department
There's this guy that works in production. He's in his mid-forties and really struggles to keep his life in order. He moves often because of poor choice in roommate or whatever. He's been bitching steady about how he does all this work for his landlord and she won't pay him. Since he's been going over the same stuff for the last couple of months I finally told him exactly what I thought of it all. I said "Listen, do you owe her money? Is she using this as a means of payment? If not, you have no obligation to do this shit for free man. YOU'RE the only one who can fix it. Just tell her no if you don't want to do it. If you aren't going to do anything to work on your own circumstance, then don't talk to me about it please." If that sounds harsh, I'm sorry but it's true. I know everyone needs to talk things through, but if you're talking and not doing...nothing changes.
Am I your bitch?
This must appear most because many people feel they can speak to me however they like and I'll still do exactly what they want me to do. This is work related stuff, of course. Summertime is so busy. I love those days because they fly by and there's always more to do. People are very demanding and impatient though. I find it amazing how many people will refuse to take any responsibility for bad behavior in that regard. Just cause I'm the first voice you hear DOES NOT give you the right.
I'm just sayin...

The Grudge~~part #1
I forgive easily but have great difficulty forgetting offences against me or my loved ones. I don't believe this is an unusual trait for a woman.
So there's this horrible Bitch-Cow-Whore (yes, this is how I refer to her) that I will never forget. Her name is actually Rhonda, but I like Bitch-cow-whore so much better. She was my older brother's first live-in girlfriend, which puts us way back in...1986? 1987 perhaps? Anyhow, I went to visit at their place one weekend and I took along all the pictures I had in my possession. All of the family photos that exist. We sat there for hours, my brother and I, sorting and battling for certain shots. There was one in particular...just a snap shot of our parents together. My mother with jeans and a t-shirt that said "Eat a beaver, save a tree"(which we both thought was hilarious!) and my father with his arm around her. They divorced when I was 7, so there weren't a lot of those shots available. I finally relented and let my brother keep that one along with many others. See, I have all of our baby pictures and baby books along with many school pictures, report cards, all of that stuff.
A couple of months later, my brother shows up at my place to talk to me because he had finally decided to leave her. Good, I thought. She's a bitch-cow-whore and not good enough for my brother. But here's the catch...the stupid bitch THREW OUT all of his things! Records, books, and worst of all...PICTURES OF OUR DEAD MOTHER!!! What kind of person does something like that? I would not likely recognise her all these years later, but have always vowed that if I did see her, I would give her a good hard punch in the face.

The Troll Out Back
I have been at the same place of employment for 7 1/2 years now. For almost 3 of them, I was the only female employee. I like working with men because when they have a problem with you they usually let you know and move on without holding anything against you, while women tend to be much more caddy and mean. Since separating from my ex in summer 2003, I have dated 2 men. Both of them were also employees (although neither work with us currently). Scandalous, I know. Apparently, this was a problem for one of the women working in production. Blake mentioned comments she had made before he and I started seeing one another...a direct warning to watch out for me. I am not sure what she wanted him to watch out for, but whatever it was, she was pretty intent on making sure everyone knew. I remember feeling very hurt and angry at the time but sort of shrugging it off. Several months later (after my friend Diana started) a few more people were hired in production. One of them is a younger girl who Diana invited out for drinks one night. She also asked me to go and when she told little miss I was going, she said "Oh really? I heard she was a real SLUT." Diana laughed it off, and said "No she isn't!". Thanks for that, by the way, Di. I didn't really do anything about it when she told me but I did ask people I trust who it was that said it. It didn't surprise me at all to find out it was the little troll woman with the big mouth and bitchy attitude. One day I was talking to the general manager, and told him what was said. Not as an official complaint, but just to get it off my chest. He said..."Well, you did go out with Doug and then Blake." Thanks for the support, boss man. Good to know how that would have gone had I been offended enough to go that route.
Before finishing the rest of my story, let me say that I don't want to date someone I have never met and do not know. I am afraid of strangers and tend to stay closer to "home" so to speak. Also, I was with my ex since I was 23, and with someone for 3 years before him. I don't know how to date or meet people other than the people I come accross through work or friends, you know? That's just me. I am not a perfect person, and have made some relationship mistakes, but this is just not fair. She doesn't know me outside the office AT ALL! It doesn't make me a slut that I dated 2 boys from work, it makes me scared of new things. End of story.
So, we have this new provincial policy that all companies must impliment "Violence in the workplace" policies and proceedures. We are required to have a commitee and meet periodically to ensure that all employees are treated fairly and with respect. Guess who's on the commitee? Among others, me and the troll. Funny, the very thing this woman has done to me is listed as a no-no in the policy. Fostering rumours. Maybe someday I will actually come out and tell her I know what she said, but she strikes me as the type to just deny it anyhow. I will keep you posted on further developments and if it comes to a confrontation, I can't wait to tell you all about it.

Isn't There a Better Way to Advertise This S**t?
I am the keeper of the e-mail at my small office. Everyone has their own address, but anything addressed to "info@" comes through me. We are on a network and I am not sure what causes it, but we get a great deal of spam mail. I am running a very old system, and can't put the proper filters on to stop them from coming. I never open them, but the subject lines say it all. I actually typed them into an e-mail to send home just so I could share them with you...
Celebrate the new year with an unforgettable night of love. (well that sounds nice, doesn't it?)
Become the man that women desire. (couldn't you just try to be charming?)
Feel more excitement of your girlfriend in the new year. (ohhh! you must have tried something new)
Give your body an unusual upgrade in 2008. (that could mean any number of things, don't you agree?)
Give your wife better stimulation in the year 2008. (something to work on, gentlemen!)
Find the best way to be a sexual champion in 2008. (well, I can give you a few little pointers if you like...)
Now, I can't imagine that you haven't figured out the common denominator in these subjects, but here are some more that certainly clear it up...
Make it longer and more powerful with our pills! (couldn't you just ask your gal for a little assistance?)
Self-pity is not for you! Fight for your male self-perfection! (I didn't think that men obsessed about this sort of thing)
Experience more masculine power in the new year with your bigger penis! (more masculine power?)
Don't miss out! Grow a monster in your pants for the new year! (now this one just kills me...hilarious!)
Turn your wee-wee into a real monster! (hehehe they said wee-wee!)
Your bigger dick will be your best friend now! (well, if that's the only friend you need, I suppose.)
And lastly...
Learn all about safe penis enlargement!
Obviously, the people sending these e-mails to my desktop every morning don't realize that I am a woman, and that I am perfectly satisfied with the one I use now, thanks anyway.

Most Shocking Behavior
I heard something on a news brief while driving to work this morning that I thought about through the day. Three girls (ages 14,15 and 18) tortured another girl (age 18) and beat her almost to death for giving information to the police. They took a short break at one point and she was finally able to run away...surely saving her life. Appalling...how does this happen to such young women? How does this happen to anyone? What drove them not only to seriously damage and brutally torture another human being, but also risk their own free lives in exchange? I can't understand it.
I have strong opinions about this young offenders act. It's such a mask/ curtain for these offenders who are getting younger and younger it seems. Where is the accountability for action? What are the consequences in the end? A slap on the wrist and an ability to maintain anonymity? I would love to have an e-mail chat with a certain retired cop I know, just to get a feel for how things have moved in this direction from that perspective.

Little Life Lesson #2
There was a sports field near my apartment building growing up. We used to cut through it sometimes going from one friend's place to home. Anyhow, someone once told us (a slightly older friend I believe) not to walk through the field alone because we might get "RAKED" to death. Hmmmmm...I remember just pondering that for a while...how it would feel to have someone run a rake down my body...ewwww. I couldn't really understand why someone would do that at all.
Of course these years later, I understand what the real danger was. Neither, in my opinion, sounds more horrible than the other. It certainly did keep us from cutting through the field.

My new noisy neighbors
Oh how I miss my neighbor Tammy! I just moved into my little townhouse in July, but I got talking to her outside through the summer. She worked nights, had a very quiet roommate, and life was good. We could chat over the patios while we sipped beer on occasion, exchanging pleasantries, and tidbits about our lives...
Well unfortunately, she had to move. She was losing her roommate, and she couldn't do it on her own. Enter...the new neighbors...da da da!
I really don't know or care what the deal is...but there sure is alot of screaming and yelling going on between 2 women...cops are outside now, gathering information I suppose. Photos trown all over my lawn. My son is coming home from a sleepover, so he will be curious of course. I just wish they would stop and let me enjoy my 3 year old's naptime in peace!
